Netherlands team lands in Sylhet for T20I series

The Netherlands cricket team arrived in Bangladesh on Wednesday morning for a three-match T20 International series in Sylhet—their first-ever bilateral series on Bangladeshi soil.
The squad touched down in Dhaka before heading to Sylhet in the afternoon, where all matches will be held at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
This marks the Dutch side’s first tour of Bangladesh in 11 years. Their previous visit was during the 2014 ICC T20 World Cup, when they played seven games across Sylhet and Chattogram. Their maiden trip came in 2011 for the ICC ODI World Cup, which included a fixture against the hosts in Chattogram.
While the two sides met in a bilateral T20I series in 2012, that contest was held in the Netherlands. The upcoming fixtures will therefore be the first home bilateral T20I series between Bangladesh and the Netherlands.
The three matches are scheduled for 30 August, 1 September, and 3 September, all at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
