Narendra Modi has conveyed Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to Tarique Rahman and the people of Bangladesh, expressing hope for stronger friendship and deeper harmony between the two neighbouring nations.
In a message to his Bangladeshi counterpart, Modi wished “Eid Mubarak” and said that, on behalf of the people and government of India, he extends warm greetings to Rahman and the people of Bangladesh on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Referring to the spiritual significance of Ramadan, the Indian premier noted that Muslims in India and around the world have spent the past month in fasting, prayer, and reflection.
He added that Eid-ul-Fitr embodies enduring values such as compassion, brotherhood, and unity, while expressing hope for global peace, harmony, good health, and happiness.
Modi also voiced optimism about bilateral relations, saying he hopes the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries will continue to grow stronger.
He concluded his message by conveying his highest regards to the Bangladeshi leader.
