BKMEA, Pakistan envoy explore avenues for commercial cooperation
BKMEA President invited Pakistani companies to participate in the upcoming Bangladesh International Textile, Knitting and Garment Industry Exhibition.
Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) President Mohammad Hatem met with Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider at the BKMEA office in the capital on Sunday.
Several BKMEA directors were also present at the meeting, according to a press release.
The discussions focused on implementing activities under the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between BKMEA and the Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PHMA), as well as arranging joint business-to-business (B2B) meetings.
During the meeting, Mohammad Hatem invited Pakistani companies to participate in the Bangladesh International Textile, Knitting and Garment Industry Exhibition, scheduled to take place in Dhaka in January 2027. He said such participation would help strengthen supply-chain cooperation between the two countries.
Pakistan High Commissioner Imran Haider assured the BKMEA president of extending all possible support to boost bilateral trade and strengthen commercial cooperation between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
