Mr. Nassir Salim, President and CEO of HBL, scheduled to visit Bangladesh

Muhammad Nassir Salim, President & CEO of Habib Bank Limited (HBL), will be visiting Bangladesh from April 15 to 17, 2025. This visit underscores HBL’s long-term commitment to strengthening economic collaboration between Bangladesh and global markets where HBL maintains a strong institutional presence, according to a media release issued on Monday. HBL, a leading financial institution with a regional footprint across multiple geographies, has been serving clients in Bangladesh for over 45 years. The Bank is recognised for its client-centric innovation in financial services. The Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED) holds a 51% shareholding in HBL along with management control.
During his visit, Mr. Salim is expected to meet with senior policymakers, regulators, business leaders, and key stakeholders from both the public and private sectors. His visit coincides with Bangladesh’s efforts to attract foreign direct investment and boost international trade, particularly within the emerging China-Middle East-South Asia economic corridor. As Bangladesh continues to advance regional trade connectivity, HBL is uniquely positioned to support new investment flows, infrastructure financing, and enhanced banking solutions for both local and global clients. HBL Bangladesh also offers RMB/CNY (Renminbi) denominated accounts, backed by HBL’s presence in China. The Bank is one of only three from the South Asia and MENA region providing end-to-end RMB Intermediation, enabling collaboration with key Chinese state-owned enterprises and financial institutions. Muhammad Nassir Salim assumed the role of President & CEO of HBL in March 2024.
