Bangladesh and Turkiye committed to elevating bilateral ties to new heights

Bangladesh and Turkiye have expressed optimism that their collaborative efforts will elevate bilateral relations to unprecedented heights, reflecting a mutual commitment to fostering deeper ties. This sentiment was underscored during a meeting between Bangladesh's Foreign Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain and Information and Broadcasting Adviser Mahfuj Alam with Turkiye’s Foreign Affairs Minister Hakan Fidan at his office in Ankara today, according to an official press release.
The central focus of the meeting was to strengthen the Bangladesh-Turkiye partnership through the resolution of existing issues and the initiation of fresh areas of cooperation. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that this constructive dialogue is anticipated to result in significant mutual benefits for both nations.
According to the release, Bangladesh will gain access to an extensive range of Turkiye's bilateral cooperation programmes, generally reserved for its closest strategic partners. This development marks a positive chapter in the diplomatic relations between the two countries, paving the way for enhanced collaboration, reciprocal support, and shared progress across multiple sectors.
The Advisers also participated in the three-day Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF) 2025, held in Antalya, Turkiye, from April 11 to 13. Organised by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the patronage of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, this year’s forum was themed “Reclaiming Diplomacy in a Fragmented World,” highlighting the urgent need to reinforce diplomacy as a stabilising force amidst growing global challenges.
