Malaysia to Grant Multiple-Entry Visas to Bangladeshi Workers: Asif Nazrul

Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Adviser Asif Nazrul on Tuesday announced that Bangladeshi workers in Malaysia will now be eligible for multiple-entry visas.

Sharing the update on his verified Facebook page, he wrote, “I have good news for our brothers and sisters working in Malaysia. We’ve received official confirmation that Bangladeshi workers will now be granted multiple-entry visas.”

Recalling a visit to Malaysia in May, Nazrul said he and his delegation raised the issue during a meeting with the Malaysian home minister. “We informed him that while workers from other countries receive multiple-entry visas, Bangladeshis were only being given single-entry ones. He was surprised and sought clarification from his officials, who confirmed the matter. The minister then instructed them to resolve it,” he explained.

Nazrul, who also advises on law, justice, and parliamentary affairs, said his team maintained regular follow-up after the meeting. “Finally, we have received confirmation,” he said.

He added that a Bangladeshi delegation is currently visiting Malaysia, and another high-level team is set to travel there next month. “We hope to share more positive updates soon,” he noted.
