Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batter Liton Das’s Pakistan Super League (PSL) campaign has come to an abrupt end before it even began, as he sustained a finger injury. Liton will soon return to Bangladesh to begin his rehabilitation process.

On his social media, Liton shared, "I was truly excited to play for Karachi Kings in the PSL, but unfortunately, the Almighty had other plans." He explained that during a practice session, he injured his finger, and scans revealed a hairline fracture. He added that recovery would take at least two weeks.

Liton expressed his disappointment, saying, "Sadly, my PSL mission is over before it even started. I’m flying back to Bangladesh and would appreciate your prayers and support for a speedy recovery."

He also wished his team, Karachi Kings, the best of luck for the rest of the tournament.

Liton had been granted a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the full PSL season, which resulted in his absence from Bangladesh's two-match Test series against Zimbabwe. Rishad Hossain and Nahid Rana are the other Bangladeshi players participating in this season’s PSL.
