HC Justice Khandaker Diliruzzaman Dismissed

President Mohammed Shahabuddin has removed Justice Khandaker Diliruzzaman from his position as a judge of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court, following a recommendation from the Supreme Judicial Council. The decision, made under Article 96(6) of the Constitution, was announced in a gazette notification issued Wednesday by the Law and Justice Division of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
Justice Diliruzzaman had been serving on the High Court bench since 31 May 2018, when he was appointed as an additional judge, and was made permanent on 30 May 2020. His removal is the second in recent months; on 18 March, Justice Khizir Hayat was similarly dismissed under the same constitutional provision, with that decision also formalized through a gazette notification.
