Government reshuffles top positions in RAB, SB and CID

The government has reshuffled the top leadership of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), the police’s Special Branch (SB), and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The changes were announced through separate notifications issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday.

According to a notification signed by Toufique Ahmed, deputy secretary of the ministry’s Police Branch-1, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Chattogram Range Ahsan Habib Palash has been appointed director general of RAB. Additional Inspector General (HRM) at Police Headquarters Sardar Nurul Amin has been made chief of the Special Branch.

Meanwhile, Additional IGP Mosleh Uddin Ahmed has been appointed as the head of the CID.
