EC calls on expatriates to vote and return postal ballots by January 25

The Election Commission (EC) today called on Bangladeshi expatriate voters to complete their postal ballot voting and dispatch the ballots by January 25 to ensure they are delivered on time.

The appeal was made in a press release signed by Md Ruhul Amin Mallick, Director (Public Relations) and Information Officer of the EC Secretariat.

According to the Commission, the directive is intended to ensure that ballots cast by expatriate voters reach the respective Returning Officers within the stipulated timeframe.

The EC warned that postal ballots sent after January 25 may not reach the Returning Officers in time. Therefore, expatriate voters are advised to complete the voting process and submit their ballots at the nearest post office by that date, the release added.
