DSS orders Family Card payroll submissions by the 25th of every month

The Department of Social Services (DSS) has instructed its field-level officials to submit 100 percent accurate payrolls between the 20th and 25th of every month to ensure timely disbursement of allowances under the Family Card programme.

The directive was issued in a letter from the DSS Family Card Programme on Sunday.

Under the programme, allowances are being transferred directly to beneficiaries through the Government-to-Person (G2P) system via mobile financial services (MFS), TakaPay and bank accounts.

Upazila and City Social Services Officers have been directed to submit error-free payrolls for each monthly installment during the 2026-27 fiscal year so that eligible beneficiaries receive their allowances on time.

Before submitting the payroll within the specified timeframe, officials must update and correct key beneficiary information in the Management Information System (MIS), including mobile phone numbers and bank account details, the letter said.

The directive also stated that if a beneficiary dies or needs to be replaced for any other reason, the replacement must be made based on a decision by the relevant committee in line with existing policies.

The DSS urged officials to take all necessary steps to ensure that 100 percent accurate payrolls are submitted between the 20th and 25th of each month, with payments directed to beneficiaries’ own MFS, TakaPay or bank accounts.

The letter was signed by DSS Director (Social Security) Md Mosharraf Hossain and sent to the directors of the divisional social services offices in Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Khulna, Sylhet, Rangpur, Barishal and Mymensingh.
