Prof Mohammad Nazmuzzaman Bhuian named new PSC Chairman

Professor Mohammad Nazmuzzaman Bhuian of the University of Dhaka’s Law Department has been appointed Chairman of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC).

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification announcing the appointment today.

According to the notification, President appointed Professor Mohammad Nazmuzzaman Bhuian as PSC Chairman in the public interest under Article 138(1) of the Constitution of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

Under Article 139(1) of the Constitution, he will serve as Chairman for five years from the date he assumes office, or until he turns 65, whichever comes first.
