The Independent Inquiry Committee, established by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to examine allegations of corruption, mismanagement, and systemic failures in the 11th Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), has submitted its preliminary report to BCB president Aminul Islam Bulbul.

The development was confirmed in a media release issued by the board on Tuesday.

In its statement, the BCB emphasized that all individuals or entities named in the report remain subject to due process under the BCB Constitution, the ICC Anti-Corruption Code, and relevant national laws. The board added that, for now, no names will be disclosed in order to protect the integrity of the proceedings and the rights of all parties involved.

The initial findings have already outlined a number of urgent reforms deemed necessary before the next edition of the BPL can take place. These include improvements in franchise governance, anti-corruption monitoring, and structural safeguards to preserve the league’s credibility.

The BCB further stated that the committee is expected to submit its final report by the end of next month, containing both detailed findings and long-term reform proposals aimed at strengthening the league and enhancing the board’s oversight mechanisms.

At this stage, the board has declined to elaborate on the preliminary report or the process ahead, noting only that it will carefully review the recommendations before deciding on its next course of action.
