BCB Approves 35% Salary Hike for Women Cricketers

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has approved a 35% salary increase for contracted women cricketers, effective immediately for the current fiscal year.

BCB Media Committee Chairman Amjad Hossain announced the decision following a board meeting held on Monday (November 3) at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium office in Dhaka’s Mirpur.

Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, and Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan also shared the update on his verified Facebook account.

As per the board’s decision, the daily allowance for women cricketers has been raised from US$50 (Tk6,000) to US$75 (Tk9,150), while the tour fee has been doubled from US$25 to US$50.

The move represents a significant step toward recognising and rewarding the growing contributions of women athletes to Bangladesh cricket.
