Bangladeshi Student Wins Top Honors in China National Competition

Syeda Rafina, a Bangladeshi student studying in China, along with her team, won first prize at the prestigious 15th National College Student Market Survey and Analysis Competition held from May 16 to 19 at Guizhou University in Guizhou province. The event featured 303 teams from universities across China, with over 1,500 students and faculty members participating.
Known for its academic rigor, the competition attracts both domestic and international Master's students studying in China, who present detailed research and data analyses on assigned topics. Rafina’s team earned the top honor for their presentation on "Survey and Research on Public Awareness and Expectance of Shea Butter." Rafina, the youngest daughter of veteran journalist Syed Safi, started her studies in China in 2019 with a Bachelor's in International Trade and Economics at Shandong University of Science and Technology and is currently completing her Master's at Nanjing University, expected to graduate this July.
