Religious leaders convene with Prof Yunus for discussions

Delegations from various religious groups are meeting with Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital. Leaders representing Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, and Christian communities began arriving at the venue around 3:30 pm, with Prof Yunus reaching the academy at 4:21 pm.  

The meeting, scheduled to commence around 4:00 pm, is part of Prof Yunus’s ongoing series of dialogues in response to protests in the capital and other districts following the attack on the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala.  

On Tuesday evening, Prof Yunus met with student leaders advocating against discrimination and announced plans to engage with major political parties yesterday and religious groups today.
