New Secretary Appointed to the Election Commission

The Election Commission Secretariat has appointed Akhter Hossain as its new secretary. 

A notification regarding his contractual appointment was issued by the Public Administration Ministry on Thursday.  

Akhter Hossain will serve as a senior secretary for a term of two years starting from his joining date.  

This appointment follows the government's decision to remove Shafiul Azim from the position of EC Secretary on Tuesday, assigning him as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD).
