People assaulted in front of Awami League office

Several individuals were brutally beaten in front of the Awami League office on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital. The incident occurred just before 11:00 am, when a group of people attacked the victims while shouting various slogans against the Awami League. Police were seen removing some of the injured individuals from the scene.
Today marks Noor Hossain Day, and the Awami League had announced a protest rally at Noor Hossain Chattar at 3:00 pm to commemorate the day, despite the government's efforts to prevent the event. Various organizations paid their respects at Noor Hossain Chattar in Zero Point, Dhaka, on Sunday morning, marking the occasion. At the same time, protests were held in the area against the Awami League’s planned program. Some groups, identifying as Jubo Dal activists, also demonstrated in front of the Awami League's central office on Bangabandhu Avenue.
Since the morning, law enforcement has been deployed outside the Awami League office, with Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members patrolling the area.
