Mufti Abdul Malek has been appointed as the new khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.

Islamic law expert and Hadith scholar Mufti Muhammad Abdul Malek has been appointed as the new khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, according to a press release from the Ministry of Religious Affairs issued on Friday. The statement highlights Mufti Abdul Malek’s strong academic background in Islamic Studies, Hadith, and Fiqh, with degrees from both Bangladeshi and international institutions. 

A student of renowned Islamic scholar Mufti Justice Muhammad Taqi Usmani, he also completed two years of advanced research in Hadith and Islamic law under the mentorship of Shaykh Abdul Fattah Abu Ghuddah at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in Riyadh.

Mufti Abdul Malek has traveled to Makkah, Madinah, Pakistan, India, and Turkey, participating in national and international seminars. He has authored 16 books in Bangla, Arabic, English, and Urdu, and he publishes a research journal titled The Monthly Al Kawsar.
