‘Voter Gari’ launched by government

Ten specially designed vehicles known as ‘Voter Gari’, branded as the Super Caravan, set out on nationwide journeys today to promote the 13th National Parliamentary Election and the proposed referendum on the July National Charter.

The Super Caravan was formally inaugurated this afternoon at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.

The campaign was officially launched with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Information and Broadcasting Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Cultural Affairs Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, Election Commission Secretariat Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed, and Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam.

The campaign carries the theme “Desher Chabi Apnar Hate” (The country’s key is in your hand).

As part of the awareness drive, the Ministry of Cultural Affairs has produced seven short television commercials highlighting issues such as the Felani murder, Abrar Fahad killing, and concerns over excessive external influence and dependency. These TVCs will be broadcast nationwide to raise public awareness about the upcoming election and referendum.

Officials said the government plans to produce at least 30 TVCs as part of the campaign.
