Sheikh Hasina has fled the country, but her associates continue to scheme in an attempt to undermine the success of the recent student movement.

BNP Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas has affirmed his party’s readiness to collaborate with Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami to rebuild Bangladesh in line with the aspirations of the younger generation.

"BNP, Jamaat, and other parties will unite to rebuild Bangladesh. If we don’t, neighboring countries may pose obstacles to our progress and prosperity, which we cannot allow," he said while speaking at an event at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh auditorium in Dhaka on Monday.

The event, organized by the Dhaka South unit of Jamaat-e-Islami, commemorated the 2006 crackdown on the party by the Awami League.

Abbas asserted that the absence of the Awami League has allowed a peaceful atmosphere to prevail across the country, further claiming that “Awami League and democracy cannot coexist."

He added that *Sheikh Hasina has fled the country, yet her associates continue to conspire to undermine the achievements of the recent student movement.*

Highlighting the need for collaboration, Abbas emphasized that the BNP and Jamaat must work together for the country's overall welfare, pointing to the longstanding alliance with the religion-based political party.
