HSC results: 145,911 students achieve GPA-5

A total of 145,911 students have secured GPA-5 in the 2024 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations across Bangladesh.

This marks an increase of 53,546 students compared to the 92,365 who achieved GPA-5 in 2023. The results were released simultaneously across all education boards on Tuesday, both online and at institutions.

The Ministry of Education reported a national average pass rate of 77.78% for this year's exams.

The 2024 HSC exams began on June 30, but were disrupted due to nationwide student protests over government job quotas. Following several postponements, authorities decided to issue results based on completed exams and subject mapping with previous SSC results.
