Foreign Adviser says preventing Rohingya infiltration is challenging due to corruption at the border

Foreign Adviser Md Touhid Hossain stated that Rohingyas are entering Bangladesh through various routes, including land and waterways along the Bangladesh-Myanmar border, due to corruption at the entry points.  

He made these comments in response to questions from journalists at the foreign ministry on Sunday afternoon, following his recent visit to Bangkok.  

Hossain was discussing an informal consultation meeting held in Bangkok last Thursday, which was chaired by Thailand's Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai. Myanmar's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Than Swe, was also present at the meeting.
