Dhaka University limits vehicle entry to campus

The Dhaka University (DU) authorities have announced restrictions on vehicle entry to the campus, according to an urgent press release issued by the DU proctor's office on Saturday. 

As per the release, vehicle entry will be restricted from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and government holidays, and from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm on working days. Only vehicles with Dhaka University stickers and emergency vehicles, such as ambulances, those carrying physicians or patients, journalists, and other government vehicles, will be allowed during these hours.

The restrictions will be enforced by placing barricades at seven entry points to the university, including Shahbagh, Doyel Chattar, Burn Unit, Shibbari Crossing, Fuller Road, Palashi intersection, and Nilkhet. The authorities stated that the measure is aimed at ensuring the overall safety of the university's students.
