Bangladesh issues warning on fraudulent recruitment of female workers to Malaysia

The Bangladesh High Commission in Malaysia has issued a warning about fraudulent activities related to the illegal recruitment of Bangladeshi female workers to Malaysia.  

In a statement on Friday, the high commission clarified that there is currently no agreement or memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Bangladesh and Malaysian governments for hiring female workers.  

The commission also reported that an organized group of fraudsters is luring Bangladeshi women to Malaysia on tourist or other visas with false job promises. These scams not only cause financial and psychological distress to the victims but also risk damaging Bangladesh’s reputation in Malaysia.  

The high commission advised Bangladeshi women to avoid traveling to Malaysia for general employment until an official agreement is established between the two governments.
