US envoy heads Bangladesh delegation to investment summit in Washington, DC.
Brent T. Christensen is leading a 25-member Bangladeshi business delegation to the SelectUSA Investment Summit 2026 in Washington, DC, with the aim of boosting bilateral investment and business engagement.
According to a statement issued by the US Embassy in Dhaka today, the delegation is taking part in the summit, which is being held from May 3 to 6 in the US capital.
The delegation includes 25 business leaders from Bangladesh representing key sectors such as energy, technology, agribusiness, engineering and business services.
Hosted by Howard Lutnick, the summit is considered the premier platform for foreign direct investment (FDI), bringing together international companies and US economic development organisations to promote business investment and job creation.
This year’s event coincides with the 250th anniversary of the United States and will highlight how foreign investment continues to shape the next phase of American innovation and economic growth.
The initiative is expected to further strengthen economic ties and expand investment opportunities between Bangladesh and the United States, the statement added.
