Two female madrasa students found dead under mysterious circumstances in Chapainawabganj
At around 3am, the two girls reported chest pain before suddenly falling ill.

Two students of a women’s madrasa in Gomostapur upazila of Chapainawabganj district died under mysterious circumstances on Friday night.
The deceased were identified as 12-year-old Tania Nishi, daughter of Tariqul Islam from Lebudanga, and 9-year-old Jamila, daughter of Soibur Rahman from Begpur in Radhanagar union.
According to police, after dinner on Friday, students of Shefli Begum Nurani Hafizia Women’s Madrasa went to bed as usual. Around 3am, the two girls complained of chest pain and suddenly fell ill.
Madrasa teacher Shahida Khatun, along with others, rushed them to Gomostapur Upazila Health Complex, where doctors pronounced them dead, said madrasa director Ashraf Ali.
Dr Abdul Alim, the on-duty physician at the health complex, said one of the girls was brought dead, while the other passed away shortly after admission.
Gomostapur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Wadud Alam said the bodies were sent to the Chapainawabganj 250-bed District Hospital morgue for autopsy to determine the cause of death.
