Trump Says China Trade Deal Could Be Signed Soon After Reaching a ‘Range of Agreements’

US President Donald Trump said his administration could sign a trade deal with China “very soon,” following talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea that resulted in “agreements on many key issues.”

The understandings reportedly cover China’s purchase of a large volume of US soybeans, a 10% US tariff reduction on Chinese fentanyl exports, Beijing’s rare earth exports to the US, discussions on the Ukraine war, and plans for reciprocal visits — Trump to China in April and Xi to the United States thereafter.
