Gold prices in Bangladesh have been lowered by Tk2,158 per bhori, with the rate of 22-carat gold now fixed at Tk235,963, according to the Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association.
In a statement issued on Wednesday morning (20 May), BAJUS said the revised prices were determined in line with the overall market situation, especially following a fall in the price of pure gold (tejabi gold) in the local market.
Under the new rates, 22-carat gold will be sold at Tk235,963 per bhori (11.664 grams), while 21-carat gold has been priced at Tk225,332 per bhori.
The price of 18-carat gold has been set at Tk193,039 per bhori, while gold produced through the traditional method will cost Tk157,230 per bhori.
