Tarique Rahman joins views-exchange meeting with Bangladesh Nationalist Party district-level leaders

Tarique Rahman, chairman of the ruling Bangladesh Nationalist Party and prime minister, joined a views-exchange meeting with district-level leaders of the party and its three associate bodies today.

The day-long meeting began at 10:45am at the auditorium of Krishibid Institution Bangladesh in the capital’s Farmgate area, with BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi presiding over the session.

Tarique Rahman attended the programme as the chief guest, while BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was present as the special guest.

Among others present at the meeting were BNP Standing Committee members Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Abdul Moyeen Khan, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Salahuddin Ahmed, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, Selima Rahman and AZM Zahid Hossain.

The meeting marks the first views-exchange session between Tarique Rahman and the party’s grassroots leaders since the 13th parliamentary election held on February 12.

Speaking about the programme, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said the party’s election manifesto and the government’s future plans would be presented before the leaders during the meeting.

He added that the party’s organisational activities would also come up for discussion.
