Salahuddin: BNP Endorses 94% of State Reform Proposals
BNP is undertaking all necessary measures to implement the July Charter.
BNP supports nearly 94% of the 826 state reform proposals put forward by the government-appointed commissions and has reservations about only 51 of them, said BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed on Friday.
Speaking to reporters in Chattogram after meeting the director general of Darul Ulum Mainul Islam Madrasa in Hathazari, Salahuddin outlined the party’s stance.
He said BNP is actively working to implement both the July Charter and the vast majority of the proposed reforms.
Regarding the introduction of a proportional representation system in the upcoming elections, Salahuddin noted that BNP has yet to receive any concrete announcement from the government on the matter.
