Prime Minister inaugurates doctors’ rally

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Saturday inaugurated a doctors’ rally marking the 37th founding anniversary of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB).

He inaugurated the programme at LD Hall of the Jatiya Sangsad complex in the morning.

Earlier, the prime minister planted a neem sapling on the Jatiya Sangsad premises, while his wife, Dr Zubaida Rahman, also planted a sapling.

Tarique Rahman then inaugurated the next phase of the programme by hoisting the national flag as the national anthem was played. Before the rally began, two pigeons were released as a symbol of peace.

LGRD and Cooperatives Minister and BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Social Welfare Minister Professor Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, Prime Minister’s spouse Dr Zubaida Rahman, DAB President Professor Dr Harun Al Rashid, and Secretary General Dr Md Zahirul Islam Shakil were among those present.
