No bomb found on Biman aircraft

A comprehensive search was conducted at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) and on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight traveling from Rome to Dhaka following a reported bomb threat. 

During the search, no explosives or suspicious items were discovered at the airport. 

"Following protocol, all baggage was thoroughly checked, and nothing was found. The search has been called off," said HSIA Executive Director, Group Captain Kamrul Islam, to BSS. 

He added, "We are now processing the baggage and assisting the passengers accordingly."

Earlier, the aircraft, carrying 250 passengers and 13 crew members, landed safely at HSIA at 9:20 a.m., and all individuals were evacuated as a precaution. 

The threat, reportedly a hoax, was made by an unidentified individual claiming there were explosives onboard the Dhaka-bound flight from Rome.
