NCP unveils its list of candidates for 125 constituencies
Nahid to run in Dhaka-11; Tasnim Jara in Dhaka-9; Sarjis in Panchagarh-1; and Hasnat in Cumilla-4
Ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election, the National Citizen Party (NCP) has released its list of candidates for 125 constituencies.
At a press conference held at the party’s temporary office in Bangla Motor, Dhaka, at 11am on Wednesday (10 December), Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain announced the names of those initially nominated.
“We have completed distributing nomination forms. Today we are publishing the preliminary list. If any complaints arise against the announced candidates, we will investigate and revoke their nominations if necessary,” Akhtar said.
NCP Convener Nahid Islam is set to contest Dhaka-11, while Akhtar Hossain will run in Rangpur-4.
Nasiruddin Patwari has been nominated for Dhaka-18, Sarjis Alam for Panchagarh-1, and Hasnat Abdullah for Cumilla-4.
Tasnim Jara will contest Dhaka-9, and Abdul Hannan Masud will run from Noakhali-6.
Before the list was unveiled, Nasiruddin Patwari, head of the NCP’s Election Steering Committee, said they were “moving toward a ballot revolution.”
