EC to release draft voter list on August 10, final list set for August 31

Ahead of the upcoming 13th general election, the Election Commission (EC) will unveil the draft voter list on August 10. Following a review of claims and objections through August 21, the final voter list will be published on August 31.

EC Additional Secretary KM Ali Newaz disclosed the schedule to reporters this afternoon at the EC headquarters in Dhaka.

According to EC officials, after incorporating new voters, reinstating those previously excluded, and removing deceased individuals, the total number of voters for the national election is expected to reach nearly 13 crore (129.75 million). The last final voter list, published on March 2 this year, recorded 12,37,32,274 registered voters.
