EC: 12,63,07,504 voters registered ahead of elections

The Election Commission (EC) on Sunday released a supplementary voter list, reporting a total of 12,63,07,504 registered voters nationwide ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections.

EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed shared the figures at the commission secretariat, stating that the updated roll includes all eligible voters as of August 31, 2025. Among them, 6,41,00,455 are male and 6,22,05,819 are female.

The list also records 1,230 registered transgender (hijra) voters.

This supplementary update is part of the EC’s preparations for the next national elections, scheduled for early 2026.
