DUCSU Election: Allegations Against Shadiq Kayem of Entering Centre During Vote Count

Allegations have surfaced against Chhatra Shibir-backed vice president candidate Shadiq Kayem for entering a polling centre during the vote count in the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) election.

Leaders from several left-leaning groups, along with the general secretary candidate from the Chhatra Dal-backed panel, filed complaints over the incident.

Chief Election Commissioner Niaz Ahmed Khan said the matter would be investigated to determine if there was any negligence.

He further asserted that the election was held in a “free, fair and participatory” manner.
