Dhaka remains engaged in tariff negotiations with Washington DC.

Bangladesh is continuing its consultations with the United States to finalise the Agreement on Reciprocal Tariff.
The most recent round of talks was held in Washington DC on Thursday, with National Security Advisor Dr Khalilur Rahman leading the Bangladesh delegation and US Assistant Trade Representative Brendan Lynch heading the US team, according to a message received today.
“We’ve made significant progress in our discussions with the US side. Both parties are working sincerely to conclude the agreement swiftly,” said Rahman, who previously served as the trade policy chief at the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
