Cricketers set to begin skill training for Asia Cup tomorrow

Bangladesh cricketers will kick off their skill training for the upcoming Asia Cup tomorrow (Friday) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
In the initial phase, senior assistant coach Mohammad Salahuddin will oversee the sessions, while English power-hitting specialist Julian Wood will conduct separate drills to sharpen the players’ big-hitting abilities.
The team is scheduled to travel to Sylhet on August 19 to prepare for the Netherlands series. The BCB grounds department is already getting the venues ready, with intensive skill sessions set to begin there from August 20.
National head coach Phil Simmons, along with the foreign coaching staff, will join the camp in Sylhet.
Bangladesh will face the Netherlands in a three-match T20 series in Sylhet, which will serve as a key build-up to the Asia Cup in the UAE.
The squad began their preparation camp on August 8, starting with a week-long fitness program led by strength and conditioning coach Nathan Kiely.
