BNP forms 16-member committee to celebrate 47th founding anniversary on September 1

BNP has announced a 16-member committee to oversee programmes marking the party’s 47th founding anniversary on September 1.

According to a press release issued Monday, BNP National Standing Committee Member Nazrul Islam Khan has been appointed convener of the committee, while Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi will act as its member secretary.

The committee also includes Joint Secretaries General Khairul Kabir Khokon, Habib-Un-Nabi Khan Sohel, Shahiduddin Chowdhury Annie, Abdus Salam Azad, and Syed Emran Saleh Prince, along with Organising Secretaries Sayedul Alam Babul, Mahbuber Rahman Shamim, Shahid Shawkat, Anindya Islam Amit, Asadul Habib Dulu, GK Gaus, Principal Selim Bhuiyan, Shariful Alam, and Shama Obaed.

BNP was founded on September 1, 1978, by Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, based on a 19-point programme aimed at building a self-reliant Bangladesh.
