'Bangladesh Remittance Expo' set to take place in New York next month

Fourth Bangladesh Remittance Fair 2025 to be Held in New York on April 19-20

A two-day "Fourth Bangladesh Remittance Fair 2025" is set to take place in New York on April 19-20, aiming to boost remittance flow from the USA to Bangladesh.

Jointly organized by the Bangladesh-USA Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BUCCI) and USA-Bangladesh Business Links, the event will be held at Jackson Heights, New York, as per a press release from BSS.

The Bangladesh Association of Banks (BAB) and the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) are the organizing partners of the fair.

Bangladesh Bank (BB) Governor, Dr. Ahsan H Mansur, will attend the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest.

The fair will bring together key stakeholders from both public and private sectors, including:

• Banks

• Mobile financial service providers

• App developers

• Money exchange houses

• Remittance channel partners

Participants will showcase their products and services, discuss trends, and explore opportunities to enhance the security and efficiency of remittance channels.

The networking sessions will include representatives from the Department of Financial Services, New York State, and major money exchange firms, offering a platform to engage with industry experts, explore collaborations, and stay updated on remittance innovations.

Previous Participation & Awards:

Several banks, money exchange houses, and remittance partners have participated in past fairs, including Dhaka Bank PLC, Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, and Uttara Bank PLC.

During the Third Bangladesh Remittance Fair 2024, the following awards were presented:

• Top Remittance Bank Receiver Award 2024 – Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, National Bank Limited, Bank Asia PLC

• Top Remittance Channel Partner 2024 – BA Express, Sunman Global Express, Standard Express

• Top Individual Remittance Award 2024 – Presented to 10 remitters

The Fourth Bangladesh Remittance Fair 2025 aims to further strengthen the remittance ecosystem and foster collaboration between stakeholders.
