Bangladesh Defeat Pakistan 2-0 To Reach SAFF U-17 Final

Bangladesh booked their spot in the SAFF U-17 Championship final with a 2-0 win over Pakistan in Sri Lanka.

The boys in red and green stunned Pakistan with two goals in the opening four minutes. In the third minute, a Bangladeshi forward capitalized on a mispass from the Pakistani goalkeeper to slot home. Just moments later, skipper Namzul Huda Faysal took advantage of another error, dribbling past the keeper to double the lead.

The second strike came almost immediately as another Bangladeshi forward fired a powerful shot into the corner, leaving Pakistan helpless. Despite spirited attacks from both sides later in the game, Bangladesh’s defence stood firm, ensuring a clean sheet and a deserved victory.

With this result, Bangladesh reached the final set for September 27. In the other semi-final, group leaders India will face Nepal, after edging Pakistan 3-2 in the group stage. The winner will meet Bangladesh in the title clash.

Interestingly, the two nations will also face each other in cricket on the same day, with Bangladesh and Pakistan squaring off in the Asia Cup.
