Autocrat Fled, but Invisible Force Rising Again: Tarique
He called on everyone to stay alert to prevent anyone from misusing the party’s name for personal gain.

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman on Saturday said that although the autocrat has left the country, an “invisible force” is gradually re-emerging.
He expressed optimism that if party leaders and activists can uphold unity until February, the people’s mandate will go in favour of the “sheaf of paddy” symbol.
“The autocrat has gone, and the interim government is now running the country. They have presented reform proposals, 95 percent of which were already placed before the nation by the BNP two and a half years ago,” he said.
Tarique made the remarks while virtually addressing a conference of the Kishoreganj district unit BNP as the chief guest.
He urged party members to remain alert so that no one misuses the party’s name for personal benefit or creates confusion among the people about the BNP.
“The most important thing for the Bangladesh Nationalist Party is the people of this country. We must stand by them and ensure they continue to stand by us. Make sure of it at any cost,” he said.
Underscoring the need for solidarity among BNP leaders and activists, Tarique added, “If we can preserve unshakable unity until February, the people’s verdict will be in favour of the ‘sheaf of paddy’ symbol.”
