Army Chief meets with Chief Adviser

Chief of Army Staff General Waker-uz-Zaman paid a courtesy visit to Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the army provided a detailed briefing on the country's security situation and the ongoing operational activities of the Bangladesh Army, as stated in an Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) press release.
Discussions also covered various strategic initiatives undertaken by the army to support national development and ensure long-term stability.
Additionally, General Waker-uz-Zaman briefed the chief adviser on his recent visit to the Central African Republic, expressing confidence that it would strengthen bilateral ties and enhance military cooperation between the two nations.
He also provided an update on the findings and recommendations of the recently concluded high-level committee focused on ensuring justice for "deprived" army officers.
Furthermore, the army chief informed the chief adviser about the ongoing senior-level review regarding the reinstatement procedures for JCOs and other ranks dismissed under various circumstances.
Concluding the meeting, the chief adviser was briefed on the Bangladesh Army’s initiatives to provide medical assistance to students and civilians injured during the July uprising.
