Ali Riaz emphasizes that the success of dialogue relies on the unity of democratic forces
A 10-member delegation from the Revolutionary Workers Party, headed by General Secretary Saiful Haque, participated in the talks.

National Consensus Commission Vice Chairman Professor Ali Riaz on Tuesday stated that the success of the ongoing political dialogue hinges on the unity of democratic forces in Bangladesh.
“Our success largely depends on the extent to which democratic forces in Bangladesh can maintain their unity,” he said during his opening remarks at a dialogue session between the National Consensus Commission and the Revolutionary Workers Party, held at the LD Hall in the Jatiya Sangsad Complex.
Addressing the series of ongoing dialogues with political parties, Prof Riaz noted that there is common ground on several issues. “At the same time, we recognize differing opinions on various matters, which we aim to address through constructive dialogue. A democratic society is, by nature, pluralistic. We may not all speak the same language, but we share a common objective — and that unites us. We are committed to staying united in pursuit of that goal.”
He added, “We — and the people of this country — want to seize this opportunity. The time has come to begin the process of meaningful state-building.”
A 10-member delegation from the Revolutionary Workers Party, led by its General Secretary Saiful Haque, took part in the discussions chaired by Prof Ali Riaz.
The session also included National Consensus Commission members Safar Raj Hossain, Dr Badiul Alam Majumdar, and Dr Iftekharuzzaman, with Monir Haider, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser, moderating the event.
