Ali Reaz warns that the nation will not forgive failure in the mission to build a new Bangladesh
He says the nation entrusts the interim government with the responsibility of building a new Bangladesh.

Ali Reaz, Vice Chairman of the National Consensus Commission, stated on Saturday that the interim government would not be forgiven if it fails in its mission to build a new Bangladesh.
"We have reached this point through great sacrifices, including the loss of many lives and a long struggle. The nation has entrusted us with the responsibility of building a new Bangladesh, and failure is not an option," he said.
He noted that the six government-formed reform commissions have already provided recommendations, and the government's next step is to achieve national consensus for their implementation.
Speaking at the first meeting of the National Consensus Commission at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka, Reaz emphasized that reform is an ongoing process and will gain momentum only once it begins.
"We will engage in dialogue with political parties and alliances to build national consensus," said Reaz, who also heads the Constitution Reform Commission.
Highlighting the shared objective of holding national elections as soon as possible, he stressed the importance of formal and continuous communication between the government and political parties. "Through dialogue, the formation of a national charter is achievable," he added.
