ACC files case against former BTRC chairman, six others over Tk 102m revenue evasion by Summit

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against seven individuals, including former BTRC chairman Md Mohiuddin Ahmed and Summit Communications Limited chairman Muhammad Farid Khan, on charges of evading over Tk 102.45 million in state revenue.
The case was registered on Tuesday at the ACC’s Integrated District Office, Dhaka-1, by Assistant Director Md Nasrullah Hossain.
Confirming the matter, ACC Director General Md Akhtar Hossain told bdnews24.com that the allegations involve the approval of Summit Communications’ share transfers, which were allegedly cleared through collusion and abuse of authority, allowing the company to avoid paying the required revenue.
