The price of a 12 kg LPG cylinder increases by Tk 19
The price of a 12kg LPG cylinder has been set at Tk 1,478 for February, reflecting a Tk 19 increase from Tk 1,459 in the previous month.
The new pricing will take effect from 6:00 pm today, Sunday.
According to the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC), the per kg price of LPG has risen by Tk 1.60 to Tk 123.16, up from Tk 121.56. Prices for other LPG cylinder sizes, ranging from 5.5 kg to 45 kg, will also increase accordingly.
Additionally, the price of "auto gas" (LPG for motor vehicles) has been revised to Tk 67.78 per litre from Tk 66.78, inclusive of VAT.
However, the price of LPG supplied by the state-owned LP Gas Company will remain unchanged, as it is locally produced and accounts for less than 5% of the market share.
In February 2023, LPG reached its highest price in the local market at Tk 1,498 per 12kg cylinder.
