Netflix announced yesterday that the fifth and final season of the beloved *Stranger Things* series will premiere in 2025. To commemorate November 6, 1983 — known as *Stranger Things Day* in honor of the day Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) vanished into the Upside Down — the streaming giant released a video revealing the titles of the final eight episodes, which will conclude the supernatural saga set in Hawkins, Indiana.

The episode titles revealed in the announcement video are: "The Crawl," "The Vanishing of...," "The Turnbow Trap," "Sorcerer," "Shock Jock," "Escape from Camazotz," "The Bridge," and "The Rightside Up."

Some of these titles reference earlier episodes, such as "The Vanishing of..." — with the full name concealed — which mirrors the title of the pilot episode, "The Vanishing of Will Byers." Fans online have speculated that the new missing character might be Holly Wheeler, Mike’s younger sister, who is rumored to have been recast with *Evil Dead Rise* actress Nell Fisher. However, Netflix has not confirmed this.

The Season 1 finale was titled "The Upside Down," referencing the eerie alternate dimension linked to Hawkins, so the final episode title, "The Rightside Up," is a fitting counterpoint. Meanwhile, the second-to-last episode, "The Bridge," evokes other memorable titles like "The Piggyback" from Season 4 and "The Gate" from Season 2.

Several of the new titles suggest fresh elements to the *Stranger Things* universe. "The Turnbow Trap" likely refers to a Hawkins-based business, Turnbow Land Development & Realty, which co-creator Ross Duffer teased with an Instagram post in March. "Shock Jock" probably points to the WSQK radio station, which appears to play a role in the season, as hinted in Duffer's previous posts.

One particularly intriguing title, "Escape from Camazotz," seems to be a reference to Madeleine L’Engle’s *A Wrinkle in Time*, where Camazotz is a planet oppressed by dark forces. What Camazotz represents in the *Stranger Things* world, and who might be attempting to escape it, remains a mystery.

The most exciting reveal from the video is that the upcoming season will be set in the fall of 1987, marking a four-year jump since the events of Season 1, which originally premiered in 2016. Behind-the-scenes photos shared on the *Stranger Things* social media pages feature cast members Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, David Harbour, and Winona Ryder.
