The BFF announces a Tk1.5 crore bonus for the SAFF Champion women's football team

The newly elected executive committee of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has announced a Tk1.5 crore reward for the Bangladesh national women’s football team, celebrating their achievement as SAFF champions.

This announcement was made on Saturday following the inaugural meeting of the 20-member executive committee, led by Tabith Awal, though three members in key positions were absent. Amirul Islam Babu, acting as the BFF spokesperson, conveyed the news to the media during a press conference at the BFF headquarters.

"Our women’s team has won the SAFF Championship twice, and the new committee has decided to honor them with a Tk1.5 crore reward," Amirul stated. He confirmed that the prize money, sourced from BFF funds, will be distributed to all team members, including the coaching staff, at the earliest opportunity.

Addressing questions about the team’s pending two-month salary, Amirul, also appointed chairman of the BFF Media Committee, assured, "This is not an issue. They will receive their dues soon."
